O. H. Somers PTSO has paired up with Portage County Recycliing and NexTrex in an Earth Day Challenge. Our goal is to collect 1000 pounds of plastic and have it made into a bench for the school!
Each grade will be given their own collection container. The grade that collects the most pounds of plastic by April 22, 2024 will win a pizza party.
The bins will be collected each Monday and weighed. The weight will be recorded and displayed for everyone to see. Please help the O. H. Somers PTSO in their pledge to Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse!

- Pallet wrap and stretch film
- Wood pellet bags
- Produce bags
